CCCL and FoCP Partner for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
September 20, 2021
On the occasion of September Childhood Cancer Awareness month, this year 2021, and emphasizing regional networks across borders for childhood cancer control:
The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) thanks the Friends of Cancer Patients UAE (FoCP) for promoting awareness about childhood cancer and sharing the CCCL Bus of Hope film series; which highlights key facts about pediatric oncology symptoms, the importance of early detection, diagnoses, treatment journey, and survivorship.
Quoting CCCL General Manager, Mrs. Hana Chaar Choueib: “We deeply value the longstanding relationship between the CCCL and FoCP, and strongly believe that such partnerships across borders can go a long way in impacting cancer patients’ lives and cancer control in our region as a whole.”
The CCCL Bus of Hope film series, produced thanks to the support of UNICEF and Sanofi Espoir, is a collection of 5 simple and engaging short films promoting public awareness about childhood cancer.
Regional collaborations on crucial issues like childhood cancer control are essential to promoting much needed awareness, which helps in early detection, as well as destigmatizing cancer, and easing the journey on patients and their families.
The CCCL Bus of Hope films also feature childhood cancer patients, parents, survivors sharing their journey and experiences, alongside animations to convey the facts clearly.
The films are in Arabic with English and French subtitling, and suited for all audiences of different ages.
Please check the Bus of Hope series on YouTube and share with your friends and family.
