The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) Becomes a Member of Dubai’s International Humanitarian City

The Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) is proud to announce it has become a member of Dubai’s International Humanitarian City (IHC), reinforcing its position as a leading regional center for the treatment of children with cancer and its efforts to raise awareness and educate the public about childhood cancer while providing the best means to fight this disease on a regional and global level.

CCCL pointed out that its membership at the International Humanitarian City contributes to strengthening its role of providing free treatment for children from Lebanon and the region with no cost to the parents and with sole dependency on partnerships through projects and programs such as its Partner in Life program whereby companies cooperate giving their employees the opportunity to donate on a monthly basis through direct deductions from their payrolls.

From his side, the CEO of IHC, Mr. Giuseppe Saba, welcomed CCCL to the Dubai’s International Humanitarian City free zone. “We now have over 85 international members installed in their offices in IHC, and we are thrilled to have the CCCL among them. Most people know IHC for its capacity in responding to emergencies, its humanitarian logistics operations, or its warehouses hosting aid, but our distinction actually is in the cohabitation of world-class companies combined with the presence of international non-profit organizations such as the esteemed CCCL, working together to build lasting partnerships and to achieve long-term development across the world,” Saba said.

On this occasion, the Consulate General of Lebanon in Dubai and the Northern Emirates is hosting a cocktail reception on Monday April 15 to celebrate with the supporters of this cause.

Since its inception in 2002, CCCL develops partnerships through a variety of programs or campaigns to meet the needs of young cancer patients and their families and secure the needs funds to fulfill of mission of saving lives and celebrating hope

To note that CCCL is affiliated with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S.A. and works closely with the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC); and it has treated since 2002 more than 1,550 children and provided more than 4,500 consultations for kids from all over the region without any kind of discrimination and with an amazing cure rate of 80%.
